Advisera certificates are issued according to the requirements of Advisera’s certification scheme. Surveillance and recertification requirements may differ between schemes.
Certified persons must continue to comply with the applicable certification requirements and with Advisera’s Code of Conduct throughout the validity of their certification. They must also inform Advisera without delay if anything occurs that could affect their ability to continue meeting the certification requirements.

Additional recertification provisions
The detailed rules on which activities qualify as CPD, how CPD hours are calculated, and what evidence must be provided will be defined in the Policy for Continual Professional Development.
Where changes to a certification scheme, standard, framework, or competence requirements affect recertification, Advisera may define additional recertification requirements in the applicable certification scheme.
Suspension and withdrawal of certification
A certificate will be suspended if any of the following occurs:
- misuse of the certificate or certification mark;
- breach of Advisera’s Code of Conduct;
- failure to pay maintenance fees;
- complaints or evidence of incompetence; or
- any other noncompliance with certification requirements.
If the certified person does not resolve the nonconformity that resulted in suspension within 30 days, Advisera will withdraw the certificate.
